The operating system change reaches more people than the chip
The hardware carries the headline, but the broader change is in Windows itself. Microsoft Execution Containers (MXC) are generally available and tied to no particular machine, so every Windows 11 user gets them. Agents run walled off from the rest of the system, wired into Microsoft Security and the Agent 365 management layer.
Satya Nadella framed that as a precondition rather than a feature: "We needed to make the desktop the most secure place for agents to execute." He also argued the work sits outside the model: "You really do need to orchestrate, and you need to have memory outside of the model."

Above that sits the DGX Station for Windows, announced as a preview. It uses the GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip with 748GB of coherent memory and up to 20 petaFLOPS FP4, aimed at holding trillion-parameter models on a desk.

Nvidia's own post lists no prices. TechCrunch puts Surface Laptop Ultra base models at $2,600 and $3,700, with a top configuration at $5,900 that was already out of stock on launch day. The Surface RTX Spark Dev Box opens at $6,000 and Dell's XPS 16 Creator Edition at $3,800, preorderable through Best Buy for October delivery.
